Woodstock Painters: A Treasure Trove of Artists

You’ve probably walked into Woodstock before and noticed the creativity in the air. The town is a blank canvas. Each corner has a unique story to tell, whether it’s rustic barns or modern lofts. What are their stories? Of course, the painters at Woodstock.

Each of her subjects, from animals to historical figures are full with personality. Sarah’s Studio smells of creativity and turpentine. It is a mix that will make you pick up your own brush.

Ben the abstract painter is also worth mentioning. His works will make you pause and think. He challenges our perceptions with his use of colour and form. Ben said he loved hearing about what other people saw in his artwork because that’s not what he meant.

Woodstock’s arts scene does not just exist in galleries and studios. Streets and parks are also a part of it. There’s a summer art fair in which painters display their latest work. The art fair is like an outdoor museum, where you can speak to the artists about what inspires them and even bargain over price if you are feeling bold!

What you will notice about this community is its support. They are not competitors, but comrades who fight for beauty every day. It’s a place where artists can share ideas, collaborate, or even recommend materials and suppliers.

Laura and Mike are a good example. They teamed together for a mixed-media series last year that incorporated oil paintings with digital elements. The results were nothing less than spectacular! Crowds of people from nearby towns came to witness the result.
